For about a year now, some long-distance friends and I have been doing Skype chats every so often in which we talk about music, faith, and what have you. We gave ourselves an assignment in December, 2018: make a sixty-second song on the theme of time, without using the word "time." Also it couldn't be terrible, and ideally it would include a saxophone solo. Well, this was my submission. I didn't get my hands on a sax in time, so I used the closest thing I had.

I'm slowly setting the King James version of the sermon on the mount (Matthew 5-7) to music, but I'm not quite at the end of chapter 6 yet, so I jumped ahead a bit to do this particular verse - Matthew 6:34.

We all agreed in advance that any income based on any of our submissions would go exclusively to those who included a sax solo in their song. All proceeds from this song will go to my friend Phil Riley (check out Riley & Howe on bandcamp, btw) for including a live sax in his, even though calling it a "solo" is controversial at best.
